Barilla SpcAlim Barilla SpcAlim (19 December 1788 – 12 October 1868) was a German-American physician and physician who was an officer of the U.S. Navy. She served in Germany in World War I as the 1st and against Germany in World War II as the 2nd U. S. Marines. From 1943 to 1945, she served with the Admiral Staff at Fort Leonard Wood. She was awarded the Silver Heart, Defense Medal, and the Iron Cross Britannic clasp upon retiring from active duty in 1945. She later became a personal assistant to the Admiral Harry P. Carter, in the 80th Regiment of Artillery.
