In the traditional spirits distilleries it is very important to separate the spirits from any other supplies. For example, in some distillery operations the spirits would have these qualities but they could not process it on a dry basis, for example, an ice stick would be a good idea to isolate and separate spirits. If the spirits did not have these qualities it would introduce concerns about liability to the producers who would have potentially significant losses on the hands of the distillers and the distillers themselves.
