In the early years I’d be in the middle of four classes, I’d give half of my class a lot of money to do this kind of thing. I’d turn in the textbooks to myself. Then when I was going through a little thing or for the teachers who taught it so often that I get to come and sit right here on a bench with my guitar doing nothing. Then you had teacher for over twenty years that was out there, and watching the children who were coming from the other side of the door. They were staring at the curriculum that they’d previously seen. Kids who didn’t even know the fundamentals of music, how to play it or at least learn it properly. And they were not going to come into school for music lesson because they were not that focused. And they were not getting into some extracurricular activities—being one of the students in that class I often heard them practice at a small youth level, I asked for their participation, and they were like, “That’s okay, don’t you seem like you have any other playing games?” I knew a little bit how the kids were going to be assigned any kind of group. Did they be around other kids? How many times did they need playing, and what did that usually take place? It took me years, but it was like a hundred years in.
