Management Effect Pty Ltd Competing Beyond Knowledge Management Published on January 2017 to mark the 100st anniversary of Knowledge Management and Practice’s Common Purpose Framework (KPFK), this post focuses on the contributions of Professor Dave Bateau and the University of Toronto’s Global Knowledge Placement team since their conception in July 2008 to create the KPFK for collaboration. Dave discusses developing the KPFK to work with everyone involved, engaging them in relevant discussions and to encourage the dialogue and understanding that the KPFK supports. Prior to its conception as a KPFK, the KPFK provided social responsibility for the University of Toronto’s global knowledge organization, and a framework for addressing the concepts, principles, practices and culture of human resources education. Dave and his team worked closely with leading organizations in human resources management, human resources management and culture change strategies as well as international law based compliance organisations.
